Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Describe patient privacy as it relates to HIPAA
  • Summarize HIPAA Privacy Policies and Physician Division policies/procedure regarding HIPAA compliance and protection of patient privacy
  • Develop strategies to protect privacy
  • Analyze the effect of HIPAA requirements on physicians and their clinical responsibilities
