Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize that the contraceptive needs of some women with rheumatic diseases may not be met.
- Recognize that some women with rheumatic diseases do obtain access to highly-effective contraception, and are at increased risk of pregnancy-related complications.
- Describe how provide-level, patient-level, and systems-level interventions may help to fill gaps in family planning care for women with rheumatic diseases.
- Describe the prevalence of carbon monoxide poisoning in the United States.
- Learn the underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms of carbon monoxide toxicity.
- Explain the current understanding of hyperbaric oxygen therapy mechanism of action of carbon monoxide poisoning and limitations of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- Explain how chronic pain is an important comorbidity in PLWH, and how behavioral interventions are a promising approach to chronic pain.
- Examine STOMP, a behavioral intervention for chronic pain tailored to PLWH, is feasible, acceptable, and shows promise for future impact.
