At the conclusion of this presentation, you should be able to:

  • Describe the overall relevance of DEI and SOGIE education and the imperative need for LGBTQ+ inclusive healthcare practices
  • Explain misgendering, Gender Dysphoria, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and how to avoid those as an inclusive LGBTQ+ provider and human lactation professional.
  • Discuss and identify current statistics and numbers that show the great impact of being non-inclusive for LGBTQ+ persons in healthcare and the human lactation field.
