Abstract
Ken S. Ho, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine has earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Maryland. He then completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship training in infectious diseases here at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. His research interests focus on novel biomedical HIV prevention strategies and community implementation of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). He has over a decade of experience as a clinical trials investigator and has led several clinical trials of oral and topical PrEP. He has been involved with UPMC vaccine distribution efforts for monkeypox and is a member of the UPMC "T-poxx" team, tasked with providing the UPMC system with access to T-poxx through an emergency investigational new drug (eIND) protocol. He also will be the site investigator for the STOMP (Study of Tecovirimat for Human MonkeyPox virus). We look forward to learning more from Dr. Ho about monkeypox.
