Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define social determinants of health and understand the role it plays in disparities in anesthesia and pain management.
  • Illustrate the differences in delivery of regional anesthesia and pain medicine in various subspecialties such as pediatrics, obstetrics, and pain  management
  • Describe solutions to mitigate and eliminate disparities at the patient, physician/provider, and health care system levels.
