Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe expected time to desaturation in healthy and critically ill patients.
- Utilize noninvasive positive pressure preoxygenation strategies prior to intubation in critically ill patients
- Decrease incidence of pre-intubation hypoxemia in critically ill patients.
