Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Implement knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and how it affects the V-V ECMO circuit function and flow.
- Be familiar with the different parts, normal values, and how the ECMO circuit works as a whole to better manage patients undergoing surgery while on V-V ECMO
- Troubleshoot problems that arise with the V-V ECMO circuit during surgery so as to prevent complications intraoperatively
