Faculty, residents, fellows, and community physicians in General Internal Medicine and subspecialties.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

    • Analyze legal and ethical concerns with using patient data to train AI and understand best practices for privacy protection and governance.
    • Determine the liability risk to physicians when AI is used in the care of patients and identify higher risk situations and how to mitigate risk
    • Examine the legal and ethical issues of informed consent, disclosure, transparency when AI is used in patient care.
    • Identify sources of bias that emerge from medical AI and consider how to manage them.
