Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Analyze legal and ethical concerns with using patient data to train AI and understand best practices for privacy protection and governance.
- Determine the liability risk to physicians when AI is used in the care of patients and identify higher risk situations and how to mitigate risk
- Examine the legal and ethical issues of informed consent, disclosure, transparency when AI is used in patient care.
- Identify sources of bias that emerge from medical AI and consider how to manage them.
