Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze the existing literature on neurodevelopmental effects of volatile anesthetic exposure in early childhood.
  • Apply appropriate tools to measure neurodevelopment in children, recognizing the strengths and limitations of each.
  • Formulate strategies to reduce volatile anesthetic exposure by utilizing adjuncts and assess their potential neuroprotective effects in pediatric patients.
