Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-sports participation cardiac screening evaluations, incorporating appropriate history, family history, and physical examination.
- Apply evidence-based screening algorithms to determine appropriate cardiac testing and initiate timely referral to Cardiology.
- Identify common etiologies of sudden cardiac arrest in young athletes through clinical assessment and risk stratification.
- Implement strategies for primary and secondary prevention of sudden cardiac arrest and death in athletic populations.
