Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Explain the provisions of the UPMC/Schools of the Health Sciences Industry Relationships Policy as it relates to training and credentialing, site access, provision of gifts and meals, industry support, and pharmaceutical samples.
- Understand training requirements for Industry representatives wishing to do business or conduct other professional activities at UPMC or the Schools of the Health Sciences
- Implement strategies to assure compliance with the Policy.
- Define potential sanctions that can be imposed on Industry Representatives and their employers for violations of the Policy.
