Target Audience:

All faculty, animal facility staff, and other personnel who use dogs in biomedical research.

Educational Objectives:

Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the steps required to begin dog research.
  • Select vendors and place orders for dogs.
  • Understand the requirements for housing and managing dogs.
  • Know procedures and requirements for obtaining Veterinary and Surgical Research Services.
  • Identify hazards and health risks associated with dog research.
